Ecofeminism: Intersections between Gender and Environment

What is ecofeminism?

Is a social and political movement that sees the oppression of women and the exploitation of the environment as interconnected issues stemming from patriarchal and capitalist structures. It emphasizes the parallels between the domination of women and the exploitation of nature, arguing that both are rooted in systems of power that prioritize control, domination, and exploitation. Ecofeminism advocates for environmental sustainability, social justice, and gender equality through a holistic approach that recognizes the interdependence of all living beings and ecosystems.
